BASIC INFORMATION
Jay Strange is ascreenwriter whose main focus is on developing high-concept stories based in the comedy genre. He has studied screenwriting at the University of Pennsylvania and has optioned one spec script and secured two work-for-hire positions.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
In August of 2009, Jay signed a contract to write the screenplay for “Mr. October,” a story centered on the life of Yankee’s great, Reggie Jackson. The budget is estimated at $45,000,000 and the film is in development. This project has generated interest from Terrance Howard, Denzel Washington and Michael Douglas.

In March of 2009, he was hired to adapt the book, “Anyone’s Son,” for the screen. The film version of Anyone’s Son is a crime thriller depicting the true life events of Harry De La Roche, a seventeen year old boy who murdered his family. The budget is $15,000,000 and the film is currently in preproduction. The project currently has an attachment from Shirley MacLaine and interest from Danny Aiello, James Caan and Keanu Reeves.

Jay also optioned a Romantic Comedy spec script to Costa Filmain October of 2007.

Jay is currently developing three spec scripts and has completed a total of 7 in various genres.
